Watch the colors unfold as this slightly fuzzy yarn knits up into vibrant bags, pouches and scarves. This yarn is made from 100% recycled sari silk yarn left over during the sari manufacturing process. The recycled sari silk fibres are handpicked and hand spun in India to create each wonderful skein.
Recycled sari silk yarn is slightly bulky so it knits up really quick. It is best used for projects where stretch is not important. So it is ideal for scarves, neck warmers, cowls, shawls, stoles, bags, pouches and pillows. The finished knit or crocheted product will have a strong and firm quality and at the same time has a soft, silky and slightly fuzzy texture.
No two skeins are exactly alike. But each skein has one major color mainly red, maroon, magenta because these are the most common sari colors. I also have skeins with more yellow than others. Please make sure to state your choice when you order. Also if you order more than one skein I will send you the ones that are the closest in color.
