Each medium cup is handmade of stainless steel with a bamboo plywood base and will not tarnish over time. It will last forever so you will not have to replace it, but if you decided you did not want it you could easily recycle it. The steel I use is made from about 60% recycled materials to start. The base is coated in a food grade .
The metal is cut with tin snips, polished, and then heated for color. The metal is secured with aluminum rivets and stainless steel wood screws. Care is taken to make sure there are no burs or sharp edges. The dimensions of the pencil cups are approximately 5 inches tall, and 4 inches in diameter. Due to the process of making each one separately there will be slight variations in the color, and size.
When you order a medium cup please indicate if you would like the silver or color finish. If you would like more than one let me know and I will be happy to make a reserved listing for you. I am also happy to create a pattern for you if there is something special you would like to add to your piece.
What is this store's return and exchange policy?
If you receive the incorrect item I will replace it, but I cannot be help responsible for items lost in shipping.
Do you accept orders placed outside of the US?
We sure do!
How long will it take to receive my order?
I make every effort to ship within 5 business days. Once shipped most domestic orders take anywhere from 2 to 10 business days to arrive depending on the efficiency of your local postal service. International shipping delivery times may vary between 2 and 12 weeks.
Can you customize my order?
Certainly! I love to put patterns on cups and clocks. I can sandblast your company logo, monogram, or a special date on anything that you like for an additional fee. Since all that you see in my show is made by me its possible to tweak the dimensions of one of my designs, or we could come up with something entirely new.
Will it rust?
Stainless steel is a wonderful material because it can stand up to all sorts of things. Just about the only thing that could cause it to rust is being submerged in salt water for long periods of time. It requires no paints or chemicals to keep it bright and shiny, and could easily recycled again later on.
Why do you use bamboo plywood?
Bamboo plywood is a green option and it looks pretty. It requires many fewer chemicals to create, and is a quickly renewable resource. I like it because is has a good weight to it, and pairs well with the stainless steel atheistically, and my business ideals.
