"St. Francis is a great character who went from being a rich noble who rode off to battle in the Crusades and came back a monk who live in blissful poverty. Many wise sayings are attributed to him, although he is usually more responsible for the ideology behind them than the exact wordings themselves.

It is easy to forget that in his day he was a very revolutionary individual. I have tried to depict him here in a way that pays homage to his radical hippy-like nature.
