Grown in Heredia in the Central Valley region of Costa Rica, Naranjo Cattleya is the name of the co-op that this coffee comes from. Naranjo is the district that it is located in and Cattleya is a type of Orchid native to Costa Rica. The Poas, Irazu and Barva volcanoes dominate the landscape in this traditional growing area.
This coffee receives the SHB (super hard bean) designation which means it is grown at altitudes over 4500 feet. It is also shade grown and Rain Forest Alliance Certified. Good body and acidity featuring bright citrus-berry tones, consistent, clean tasting and very well balanced with hints of chocolate, spice and plum flavors in the finish.
