This is a vintage Mod-style minidress from the 1960s. The colors are all heathered, in a geometric pattern featuring grey, reddish-orange, and wheat. The read & wheat colors are somewhat faded. There are several small stains - two near the front/center of the dress and two near the front bottom hem (see photos). There are no rips or tears. The tag reads "Helen Whiting." The tag that would have listed the fabric content has faded; I believe it to be either a wool or acrylic blend, most likely acrylic.
The fabric provides a very small amount of stretch, but due to its age I did not test its limits.
Measurements:
shoulder (top of sleeve set to top of sleeve set) 14 1/2"
bust ('armpit' to 'armpit') 16"
waist 13 3/4"
overall length 34"
This is a verified vintage item from the 1960s. I have a personal history with the item, and I know that up until the late 1980s it was in a home where people smoked. Since the late 1980s it has been in a smoke-free, pet-free environment. I have not personally laundered the item because of its age and unknown fabric content.
