You've heard the warnings, but binary failures be damned, you want a crystal Makerbot! This set of laser cut acrylic parts should work with current laserless kits and as an upgrade for later batch Cupcake CNC kits (the diameter of the X and Y axis guide rods has changed from the earlier batches (5 or earlier, I believe), if you order a kit as an upgrade for an older bot you may have to drill the rod holes larger, and reuse your X-Y carriage but that should be it).

I'm also including a wood build platform with the kit, as there have been reports of the acrylic Y-stage losing its rigidity when used with the heated build platform.

If you find that something doesn't quite fit right or is left out because of design changes with your kit when you get the laser cut kit, just let me know and I'll send you updated parts ASAP. This offer does not extend to future upgrades made after you get things up and running, this is open source stuff so it changes rapidly!
