Hip Hop out the Box Dance Workshop early registration

This workshop weekend is designed to bring LIFE and HOPE to Hip Hop once again. During this weekend you will experience Christian based hip hop music that will uplift your spirit and yet make you want to get up and get loose! This weekend is designed to open your mind up and to use that movement to get you to think outside of the metaphorical box that we sometimes put ourselves, hip hop, or ministry in. To completely be open to a genre, culture, and style of dance that has the power to completely shake an entire generation of people out of slumber and step into what God would have for them! THIS is the new norm. THIS is the new standard.

What to expect:
To Learn basic and advanced Hip Hop choreography
· Develop your own choreography
· To perform dances that have been learned
· Technique and performing enhancement
· Learning a video drama

Who can participate:
· Anyone, ages 8- Adult!! Previous dancing experience is not required but is encouraged as well

When is the event:
·August 10th-11th, 2012
August 10th: 6:00 -10:00
August 11th: 9:00 am-after showcase is over which starts at 7:00 pm (all day workshop)

What do I need to bring?
· Please be sure to wear something that you are comfortable to dance in. Also, be mindful that we
are dancing for the Lord as well and be aware of clothing that is too tight fitting or shows a little
more that is needed.
· Tennis shoes (be sure to have clean shoes and not full of mud, etc)
· Some sort of snacks(crackers, peanuts, etc) and a bottle of water and/or Gatorade
· Any type of toiletries you may need as we will be performing some things you learned on the last
night to the public. (deodorant, comb, etc)
· Either a sack lunch or money to go and get lunch on the 5th
· Make sure to bring some extra money as well for the product tables that will be full of music, dance
material and other things as well.
· The number 1 thing……A willingness to learn and have a good time!!!!

About David Hawk:
David Hawk is the founder of the Hip Hop Out the Box workshop. He has been dancing since he was in the 4th grade. He has traveled and ministered around the world using his many creative gifts such as dancing. He has been over numerous dance ministries and teams and was also the Hip Hop dance leader for the dance group Excaliber of Eddie James Ministries. He has founded the creative ministry Breaking Point and currently teaches hip hop at Triple Threat Dance Center in Winston Salem, NC and also ballroom dancing as apart of an international program called Dancing Classrooms.
