This Fiber Art piece features one of my favorite things in the world; pomegranates. Atop the pomegranate sits a vintage Lion, originally a pendant on a necklace from the 1960's. The fruit is bursting with Swarvoski crystals representing juicy covered seeds.

This is a mixed media piece featuring vintage jewelry, Swarovski crystals, 100% wool yarn and cotton embroidery thread. This piece is hand signed in embroidery on vintage barkcloth.

I choose to work with burlap because it is rough and somewhat challenging to sew with. The end result is an organic piece that has a mixture of texture, strength and warmth.

The frame has been recycled and is complete with a few light scratches. It is finished with new backing paper. The frame measures 15 1/2" x 10 1/4".
