This Fiber Art piece is influenced from a love for the clean, crisp style of mid century modern combined with a fondness of the 70's. The owl is the center piece and is an original pendant from a vintage necklace.

This is a mixed media piece featuring vintage jewelry, Swarovski crystals, 100% wool felt leaves and 100% wool embroidery yarn. This piece is hand signed in embroidery on vintage bark cloth.

I choose to work with burlap because it is rough and somewhat challenging to sew with. The end result is an organic piece that has a mixture of texture, strength and warmth.

The frame is vintage and is finished with new backing paper. The frame measures 17" by 13".
