Why waterbased, non-toxic, pvc- and phthalate-free textile inks?
We use only waterbased textile inks because they are the safest we've found for people and the environment. Our inks are made in the U.S. of non-toxic, PVC- and phthalate-free materials. This means we can clean up with just water rather than harsh chemicals. We always take extra care too reclaim as much ink as possible in the printing process to minimize waste.
Waterbased ink printing takes more time than standard plastisol printing, but we believe the end result is worth it: a very soft hand print that will look great wash after wash and minimize impact on the environment.

What is a textile industry remnant?
Large manufacturers overproduce fabric yardage on a regular basis. They may have anywhere from a whole bolt to a few yards left over from any product run. We buy small lots of this type of yardage to produce our scarves and deep v-neck tops. It's a great way to use up materials from larger companies that might otherwise be discarded, giving our products a slightly smaller carbon footprint as well.
<br>The nature of buying overrun yardage is limited availability. Therefore, our scarves and deep v-neck tops are all limited editions.

Surplus and vintage zippers
We collect zippers from all kinds of places. It started with a love of vintage zipper colors, and we now source zippers from surplus suppliers as well. We mix and match from our vintage stashes and surplus zippers to make each clutch and miniclutch colorful and unique.
