• Where does this store ship from?

• How soon can I expect my order to ship?

  We will strive to complete your order in 1 week but please do understand 99% of our supplies are purchased as you are purchasing Alter Ego Nail Enamel, through the mail. We try to stay on top of our needs but just starting out please understand it has been impossible to determine how much of what will be immediately needed. No part of our product takes longer for a week for us to receive it, so we do feel comfortable telling you we can get it out the door in that time frame. If a order will take longer than 1 week to complete & ship we will contact the buyer giving a estimate of completion and to allow cancellation. Alter Ego Nail Enamels are not created before ordering and are usually mixed the weekend after you have placed your order. This is because like most indie makers I work a full time job outside the home. If you need a rush order please send a email to kasdec@live.com. Regarding S&H-For US and Puerto Rico if your order costs less than the dollar amount listed to send to you I will refund the difference via PayPal. If the buyer would like insurance purchased please state that as well and I will let you know how much the additional dollar figure is to insure your purchase.

• How is Alter Ego Nail Enamel different from others?

  Alter Ego is using a different base than most other indie, artisan & handcrafters of nail polish, lacquer & enamel makers. It is because of this unique base that some settling of pigments/glitters may occur upon standing. Alter Ego's formula is just a tad heavier than most other polishes but shakes easily & applies smoothly. If you have a heavy hand applying your enamel you may only need 1 coat for complete coverage. Alter Ego polish is not as glossy as most others but not really a true matte either. If you like a shine on your polish a top coat is highly recommended, and a base coat is strongly suggested. The bottle can be filled only to the lower brim of the neck. Extensive testing has shown us a certain amount of air in the bottle is needed to allow movement of the mixing ballz. Our bottles are Italian glass, and our stainless steel mixing ballz are 1/4" in diameter.

• What do I do if the color sinks?

  Simply place the bottle on a sturdy surface laying it in the opposite direction of the sunken colorant. To date it has taken only 5 minutes for the colorant to move completely in the direction that the bottle has been placed. Once the colorant has moved, pick up the bottle, shake if you wish but shaking does not have to be as energetic & apply as the painter normally would.

• What's this about donations to charities?

  Alter Ego Nail Enamel LOVES animals! Humans can speak & make themselves heard, animals not so much. In recognition of this, Alter Ego Nail Enamel invites you to submit names of Animal Care Organizations/Associations information for each to take turns to receive 5% of all completed sales for the previous 4 weeks! Please email your suggestion to Kasdec@live.com. Include only the name, address, phone number & if known a contact person. Please do not send to our email or post on our Facebook page photos, heartbreaking stories, or horrifying descriptions of animal cruelty. I cannot stress this enough-DO NOT DO THIS. If you do your charity will not receive any donations! There is a fine line between making people aware of the injustices animals suffer & de-sensitizing human emotions & attitudes towards animals. I will NOT allow de-sensitization at Alter Ego's expense. Alter Ego Nail Enamel also has the utmost respect & gratitude to all branches of the Military! The 5% donation of any Alter Ego Nail Enamel that clearly denotes it has been created to honor the military will be donated to charities dedicated to the needs of the military, not an animal charity.

• How can I get a free bottle of Alter Ego Nail Enamel?

  Submit a occupation for the newest Alter Ego Nail Enamel you will receive the first bottle of your name for free! Please submit your entry to Kasdec@live .com. Please do keep in mind there is only so much room on the label to work with:) Remember we need your name, snail mail & email address. This will be a ongoing promotion but you may need to have patience depending on how many participants enter names. Customers who purchase 10 bottles of Alter Ego Nail Enamel over time will receive a $8.50 credit on their 11th purchase! All 10 purchases must be to the same name & address. We cannot supply bulk orders and/or group sales, only 1 bottle of each polish will be allowed per each order. This will be a ongoing promotion as well. If you do not want your name posted on our Facebook page when you are awarded your freebies please clearly state that fact in your email.

• How often will Alter Ego Nail Enamel close to re-stock?

  We do not anticipate closing Alter Ego Nail Enamel once open for business. Please excuse the spits, rumbles & overall commotion associated with a grand opening! Once we get past that drama we expect to be able to fulfill orders quickly & without fanfare. If the personnel of Alter Ego Nail Enamel does leave the premises notice will be posted on our facebook page.

• Did you say Drama?

  The only Drama allowed at Alter Ego Nail Enamel will be NONE! We want a happy partnership with our customers & hope to accomplish that easily. We believe in compromise, so if you are unhappy please do contact us & let us discuss what can be done! It is for this fact that for the time being Alter Ego's Facebook page will be open only for comment when we are available to monitor postings.

• Why doesn't my purchase read as Alter Ego Nail Enamel on my statement?

  Your financial records will show you made your payment to KASDEC. Alter Ego Nail Enamel is the first venture of what is hoped to be many. Rather than have seperately named financial records of our own, we created a "parent" name to ease our own bookeeping efforts. We hope you understand!

• Does Alter Ego offer sales?

  Of course! Most sales will continue for 2 weeks each to try to accomodate all customers financial concerns. The sales may be for different percentages/amounts/quantities-this is at the discretion of Alter Ego Nail Enamel. There may be occasional flash sales as well. You can only get sale information on Alter Ego's Facebook page, so be to sure to "like" us!

• What is this store's return and exchange policy?

  We do not accept returns. Exchanges and Cancellations will be allowed within 24 hours of placing the initial order. Exchanges for damaged products in transit will be allowed only if the damaged product and its orignal packaging is returned to the seller. Original broken product including the shipping materials must be received by the seller before the exchange will be returned to the buyer.

• Do you accept orders placed outside of the US?

  We sure do! We hear Italy can be a problem for the buyer, that is a risk they will have to accept if they choose to purchase our product. S&H prices have been adjusted to reflect the lastest price increase by the USPS, there are now several rates depending on your mailing address. If you are not sure of the S&H rates, please email me at kasdec@live.com with your address and how many bottles you are thinking of ordering. I will weigh and get back to you with a exact dollar figure. International orders cannot be refunded or replaced, this is a risk the buyer will choose to make of their own free will.

• How long will it take to receive my order?

  Once shipped most domestic orders take anywhere from 2 to 10 business days to arrive depending on the efficiency of your local postal service. International shipping delivery times may vary between 2 and 12 weeks.
