Store FAQ

  • Where does this store ship from?

We ship from Liberty, Missouri...just outside of Kansas City, Missouri in the United States.
  • What is this store's return and exchange policy?

If there is any problem with your product when you receive it, please contact us and we will resolve the problem. Returns are accepted if you are not satisfied with your product when you receive it. Exchanges are on a case-by-case basis depending on circumstance. We want you happy with what you've bought!
  • Do you accept orders placed outside of the US?

    We sure do!
  • How long will it take to receive my order?

Once shipped most domestic orders take anywhere from 2 to 10 business days to arrive depending on the efficiency of your local postal service. International shipping delivery times may vary between 2 and 12 weeks.
  • How are your carved wooden hammers made?

Mark Ludwig Stinson designs them, cuts from from a piece of wood by hand, carves them, and then shapes and sands them by hand using rasps, files, and sandpaper. The finished hammers are then either coated in linseed oil, wiped clean, and allowed to dry with a rich shine...or they are polished with a beeswax polish. The final polishing method depends on the type of wood.
  • How should I care for the wooden hammer I purchase?

Some of the very hard dense woods require very little care or maintenance. Some of the softer woods should be kept dry and clean. Moisture, such as sweat or rain, can cause your hammer's smooth shiny finish to "rough up" a bit. If this happens, buff the hammer with a cotton cloth to smooth any roughness that develops. In some cases (if you've really neglected your hammer!) you may need to use a 600 sandpaper to smooth any severe damage. The hammer can then be treated with linseed oil or beeswax polish. If you inadvertently damage your hammer (scratches, moisture damage, etc.) please contact us. If you are willing to pay the postage to get your hammer to us and then back to you after repair, we'll be glad to bring it back to pristine condition at no cost. We want you proud to wear the hammer you've bought from us.
  • Will the t-shirts you sell fall apart like the one's from Cafe Press and other on-line stores?

Absolutely not. We have the designs professionally silk-screened onto 50/50 Cotton/Poly blend Gildan-brand t-shirts. We use this type and brand of t-shirt due to its durability and to avoid any shrinking or shortening of the shirt over time. We have t-shirts of this material and brand from 2009 that we've worn and washed 100's of times that still look great. The professional silkscreen process is completely different than the "made-to-order" services such as Cafe Press. It will not peel, crack, or degrade even after 100's of washes. Because our t-shirts are white ink on a dark background, we insist that the shirts be silk-screened at least twice to ensure thick opaque coverage. The short answer to this question, is our t-shirts and the printing process are of the highest quality and one of these t-shirts will be with you for years.
