The Storenvy Facebook App Is Here!

Jon posted March 08, 2010 18:27

If you didn't see it, Storenvy now has a Facebook app for store owners to show their stuff off on their Facebook pages and profiles. It's extremely easy to set up. It just pulls all your info from your store onto Facebook automatically.

Enjoy!

Can you put the store on a group page or only fan page? I have it on my profile, but can't seem to figure out how to get it on my group page.

You can add the store tab to your profile and any fan page you're an admin of. Instructions for adding to a fan page are at the bottom of the help page or application settings page.

    Love the new app!

I have added the store to my facebook fan page. How do I change what it looks like on the facebook page?

  • Jon March 31, 2010 15:37

There's currently no way to style the Facebook app. We made it as simple as possible because Facebook has a way of making sort of difficult to begin with. But it should be enough to get your stuff out there so everyone can see it!

Hi thanks for your reply. I totally understand that I can't style it, but I'd like it to have the pics of my products at least. Right now it just displays our company's name and that's it. http://www.facebook.com/pages/POOQ-ME-UP/376460563209?v=app_335383991105&ref=ts

It looks like your store is in Maintenance Mode so none of your products will currently show up. Take your store out of Maintenance Mode and your stuff should show up.

    Hope that helps!

    Thank you :)

I'm glad! It's because of you guys that we keep doing what we're doing.

And if you haven't already, tell some of your friends about Storenvy -- both would-be sellers and shoppers. The bigger we can make this community, the better it will be for all of us!

I've tried to do it, but it says that Store Envy is already installed on all applicable pages with no tab on my page? I don't know what to do. I got to my Apps and it is in there, but there isn't a tab for anyone to click on. I tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it but it keeps giving me the same message! What can I do?

  • Jon July 01, 2011 16:11

You may already have too many other tabs. You should be able to rearrange them so that your Store is at the top. What is your Facebook page?

Thanks for the help. I don't know how many tabs is too many. I think I have 4.

This is really cool. I love it!

  • MelTheCrafter July 15, 2011 14:50

One question: why when I click on the Store app does it say that it's under maintenance?

  • Jon July 15, 2011 14:56

I'm guessing your store is still in Maintenance Mode since you created it. You can disable it on the left side of the Settings page in your admin panel.

  • Notelets July 15, 2011 14:57

hummm. I just reinstalled it yesterday with no trouble, so I have no idea. But it's awful nice for Storenvy to provide this service completely free of charge and as far as I can tell, the store app is available to everyone that sees your page, not just to those that are not on your like list.

  • MelTheCrafter July 15, 2011 15:04

I got it, I didn't type in the url for my store, my items are on there now, thanks ;)

  • Adam May 03, 2012 09:47

    Hi Ina,

    Shooting you an email now!

  • Kitkatgurl_67 July 18, 2012 19:49

so I tried to install the facebook app but when I do it says this: You do not admin any pages for which this application can be installed. what does that mean? do I need to already have stuff listed in my store or something?

  • Adam July 18, 2012 20:23

    Hi there,

Sounds like you need to setup a Facebook fan page. Facebook does not allow you to add the store app to your personal page.

  • Shells42 July 19, 2012 12:58

trying to link the shop and all that with the ap to the page i already have set up - keeps saying "cant find domain name"
when i have the shop up and running...confused

  • Shells42 July 19, 2012 15:37

never mind - its working now :) so cool to have it there on fb and not just a link :)

  • blasrecs November 03, 2012 16:25
