Help & advice needed

thanks4mychild posted October 29, 2011 22:17 ago

I have had my Storenvy store for a couple of months now and not 1 single sale...no followers... nothing. I've had a lot of page views, but no one has purchased anything. I'm getting very discouraged and my determination is fading fast. I'm trying to figure out what to do to get the ball rolling for me. So I'm coming to you for help and advice.

Can you please visit my store (thanksformychild.storeenvy.com) and critique it?

Give me your honest opinion (the good, the bad, suggestions) on everything: the site itself, the products, the photos, pricing, the descriptions.

I need to know where I'm going wrong and how to fix it, so I don't quit.

Thanks for your help!

I don't see a whole lot wrong (in my opinion) with your store. Your items are ADORABLE!! Do you have a facebook or myspace or twitter?? That is honestly the best way to gain sales, to get out there and promote your business. I suggest making a facebook page if you don't have one.

Thanks axdancexmommy...especially for following my site! You're my first follow. I have a Facebook page (facebook.com/thanksformychild). I'm working on trying to be more involved on it. Between keeping up with my son, my home, and making my progucts, sometimes it can be a bit difficult to squeeze in Facebook time. My husband has agreed to help me keep up with the Facebook page, so hopefully I'll get better at it. I think one of my problems is I really don't know what to post on my TFMC Facebook page, other than my product updates.

You're welcome!!! I had a store a few years back and had a rough time with it, facebook was hard for me too so I ended up just quitting my shop all together. This time around I decided to be more active with it. I made it so that if you're a facebook fan you get deals on my items!! I have weekly deals, hold giveaways, participate in auctions etc. I find that customers like the personal interaction that comes with a facebook page. I have 3 little ones so I understand how it is when it comes to finding time. I designate 1 hour in the morning after breakfast to coming on and working on facebook and then when my hubby gets home I get on for a bit. I hope that helps in some way!!

Having a Facebook page is a good idea, also if you follow other stores you have a good chance of getting followers back ;)
