Was at one this weekend. They are great and its great to see people get married. But boy are they boring. So much downtime (like when everyone is waiting an hour and a half for the bride and groom to do photos). Its even worst when its your wife's friends and you don't know a single person there.
Anyone else feel this way?

Yeah the ceremonies are pretty much always a 100% bore-fest. Tradition!
I agree in sentmiment, as I can recall being bored in most weddings. But I ferociously disagree when it comes to one element of the ceremony. Hearing the wedded give their vows to one another (especially at the weddings I have been to since I've been married) is both touching and an alarming rebuke of my own apathy. By that I mean I am reminded of the promises I myself have made. We should all go to more weddings for this reason. Plus, free booze.
The actual Ceremony part is always great i think. The problem comes for me is how slow the rest of the weddings goes.
The worst is waiting for the bride and groom to take photos. At my wedding we went ahead and did all of the photos before hand and it was great.
