Newbie store setup help

To add a new product, go to Store Admin the click the products tab, then click the blue add product button, it will ask you to enter product name and product price, once you are done hit 'submit'. Once you hit submit, it will allow you to add more info about your product such as adding description, tags, category, pictures etc..

thank you for that info, and this is what I have already forund out .... what I want to know is where to you find the product. Is there a list of products to choose from?

you mean categories? you have to create your own categories for your products. Or if you're looking for the product type, it's below the description.

ok so I created a category and under that it says click to add a product , but it's not a link. it's just text. it won't let me click to add a product.

Yes it's just a text, it will not allow you to add links. So you've created a category/collection... In order to add products in a category, you have to click a existing product you've already created. I'm trying to visit your store but it looks like it's not active yet.

yeah I clicked on activate my store but for some reason that's not working either.

Yes you make your own products. And yes the product you've created like the cat necklace. For example, you created a category named "Necklaces" or "Jewelry", in order to add a product in that category, you have to click the Cat Necklace. Im not sure why your store can't be activated.. have you tried turning off the maintenance mode?

turning off manint mode: no I havent but will do.

and I think I figured out how to list items. I have stores on other sites with cook books, collectibles, christmas decor etc.

I wasn't sure if I could list that here or if this site was set up like a site named Zlillo where you pick products from their categories to build you store. oh and Zlillo is no more.

I have 7 cook books listed so far. I have beanie babies and Christmas decor to list yet. and my store is now public so you shoud be able to see it.

Also I have some craft kits and craft books to list. also are we allowed to say names of other sites in this forum? If so, I have an example and a question.
