Unfinished Multipurpose 32 Inch Wooden Ladder Section

This item is a section we removed from an 11 foot half of a 22 foot wooden extension ladder we picked up in an auction from the estate of a master craftsman. We did some moderate sanding to lessen the potential of splinters, but to maintain the worn and worked look. The rungs are rounded and sturdy and the items is in very good condition. The top end of this section is tapered. The ladder section stands approximately 32 inches and is 16 inches wide. This piece has 4 metal brackets that served as a guide for the extension ladder. The brackets are 20 1/2" apart from center to center. Some popular uses for items such as this are bookshelf or towel/quilt hanger or, turned sideways, is a curio or decor shelf. Another practical use is to suspend it from the ceiling and use the rungs as hangers for pots, pans and other things you can add hooks too. This section is unfinished so you could give it a good sanding and stain or paint it, seal it as is to add a protective layer or keep it in its original condition and enjoy the worked and worn look. As carpenters/contractors any primitive items used in construction are valuable to us and we want to be able to have a piece of that history in your home or office.
