Rainfall

A stoneware shard with polka dot depressions filled with sparkling iron oxide glaze, like the bottomless puddles that fill with sparkling Oregon rainfall. This piece is so light weight it looks best worn close to the neck, it has been suspended from an adjustable brown cotton cord that will soften with wear. I start most of my ceramic pieces by rolling out a thin slab of clay and applying various textures, some are vintage wall papers, laces, doilies, rubber stamps, found objects and bits of nature. I have a lot of fun creating these pieces and take pride in my work, I hope you enjoy wearing them as much as I enjoy making them!
