The images selected for the book are from the archive of an ongoing project that lives on the Instagram digital platform titled “Gangculture.” The artist has been working on the series since 2012. Trevor Hernandez received his BFA from the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California. He lives and works in Los Angeles.
