NEAR proudly presents DARK FUTURES, photographs, moving visuals and essays documenting the demise of time honored railroad traditions as the “Precision Schedule” sunk its teeth into American Railroading. Shot between January 2017 and January 2020, DARK FUTURES begins it’s story with the months leading up to the violent takeover of CSX by the hedge fund Mantle Ridge and “He Who Must Not Be Named” taking the throne.
This pack contains an 8x10 photographic journal in full color with stories from railroaders from various terminals and a DVD approx 60 minutes in length celebrating the beauty and art found on the railroad.
