Store FAQ

  • Do you accept orders placed outside of the US?

We sure do, since our company is Canadian! • Our custom request form is located on our Blog site here: https://butterflydollsbjd.wixsite.com/butterflydoll/services • All of our items also ships internationally, but if you think the shipping costs are too high, feel free to message us and we can give you EXACT shipping costs from us to you, with the option of tracking numbers! Be AWARE, often, the shipping will cost you MORE if you want to get the exact costs, we suggest going with what is already available.
  • How long will it take to receive my order?

    • Once shipped, most domestic orders take anywhere from 2 to 10 business days to arrive depending on the efficiency of your local postal service. • International shipping delivery times may vary between 2 and 12 weeks. • If you want faster shipping, message us at: [email protected] for personalized shipping costs.
  • Clothing Care

All materials are pre-washed before sewing, and once after the outfit is complete, however; this does not guarantee that stronger colors or shades (ie. black) will not stain your doll by accident. If you wish to wash the clothing again before your doll wears them, please follow these general guidelines. * Wash all clothing in COLD water with bleach-free detergent. * Lay FLAT to dry - especially knitted fabrics, as they will stretch if hung or put through the dryer. * Iron on low settings only - most shiny fabrics will warp under high temperatures, while other fabrics will burn very quickly. I include care instructions for all items shipped to you, but feel free to ask for a copy of them for free any time! If you are unsure about how to care for your outfit or accessory, please give us a message any time, we'll get back to you as soon as we can!
  • Doll Sizing Chart

How to Check your Dolls Sizes for our clothing: https://butterflydollsbjd.wixsite.com/butterflydoll/blog/measurements-are-here We gained our measurements using a flexible measuring tape, and all sizes are in Centimeters unless stated otherwise.
  • Pre-Order Items

If items are listed as Pre-Order, it means that they are not currently in stock, but are available to order! To that end, it may take up to 4 weeks for full creation before shipping, dependent on amount of queue there is ahead of your own order. Please feel free to check in once a week if you have placed an order and have yet to receive the notification that your item is in transit. You can do this by sending us an email at [email protected] or check out our Instagram at: https://www.instagram.com/butterflydollsbjd/ for batch updates and fun things!
  • Your stuff is so expensive?!

That's not really a question but alright. Here we go: The most basic outfit piece I sell is a short(knee length) tiered broom skirt: Good cotton fabric of the sort I use costs around $15 per meter. It FLUCTUATES in cost every 3-4 months, so for cotton clothing items for dolls, I have a base price of $5 for anything UNDER a meter of fabric used. Under a Meter = $5 Over a Meter = $5.25 Thread costs me $ for 100 meters, it's solid, good quality cotton and polyester threads. I generally end up using around 10 meters of thread for a skirt. 100 divided by 10 = $1.00 Elastic is also good quality, not 'thread' elastic for shirring but actual elastic, this costs me $6 for 1 meter. I use around 6-7 cm in a waistband. 1 meter is 100 centimeters so: 6 divided by 100 = $0.06 Total MATERIAL cost of the skirt is a whopping: $6.06 So, why the sharp price increase? I charge for my time. To make one short, tiered broom skirt, with all the measuring, cutting, ruffling, elastic, hemming, etc. it takes me around 2.5 hours from start to finish. At a basic wage of $12.65 per hour, that would make the skirt $32.63 without the cost of supplies or shipping included. With the cost of supplies: $38.69 plus shipping ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I have made the shipping costs as realistic or as close to realistic as I could get with maps, postal codes and Canada Post. I have stated that you are more than welcome to contact me for a direct quote of shipping from me to your address, I encourage it in fact!
