I grew up in Peekskill, NY 1967-1984. The small town along the Hudson River was a good place to grow up because of the values and closeness of this working-class town. My generation was one of the first to live in an integrated community where racial tensions between adults were hidden behind polite smiles and aggressions wrapped in handshakes. Luckily us children became friends in spite of adult actions. Friendship that span over fifty years. Creating merchandise for the town now is a labor of love.
